Why Desde
Two tools, in the order I needed them.
Desde was built for my own day to day work. It is two apps because it solved two problems.
The Viewer came first
I needed a way to put a prototype in front of engineers and product managers, and to collect what they said about it in one place rather than across three chat threads and a meeting. So I built one. It spread further than I expected it to, and ended up in wide use across the company.
The Editor came second
Prototyping is a constant stream of small and medium changes, and every one of them meant the same detour: hunt down where the code lived, or ask an AI to make the tweak and hope it understood. Neither is what should stand between a designer and moving a button.
So I built the thing that edits the prototype where you are already looking at it. It has been my daily driver for prototyping ever since.

About
Design leader with 13 years of experience building enterprise solutions for technical users
I’m Mo. I design complex products for the people who build things, and Desde is the tool I kept wishing I had while doing it.
My work blends design, leadership, development and business, which is a longer way of saying I would rather be close to the thing being built than describing it from a distance.
I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with my wife, two rambunctious boys and a cat.
